I’ve just finished reading Riches to Rags and feel bereft that my dalliance with Jack, Mary and their young family has now come to an end. I’m desperate to know what happens to them all next and hear how they fair in the 2nd world war. I hope the sequel comes along soon????
I’ve really enjoyed the journey the book took me on. Jack is such a proud, hard working, forward thinking man who would do anything for his family and Mary is a dignified, proud, resilient, resourceful lady and together they make formidable parents and a great team.
This book reminds me that material things don’t matter and that family is everything but most of all it made me appreciate my own grandparents and what they must have lived through.
A truly great read and the book has left me wanting more.
